Lazy week in Roma...

So, I've been in town all week.  Nothing too exciting going on.  The thing about my time here is time is all sorts of screwed up.  I have class Monday-Thursday.  But, my weekend essentially starts Wednesday night because my class Thursday isn't until 2:15.  So, went out Wednesday and Thursday night with friends, had fun checking out the local nightlife.  But then Friday and Saturday, I stayed in, during the normal going out nights.  Plus, I sleep in until all hours of the day even though I go to bed at a reasonable hour.  Is there something funky about time in the Eternal City?!  My schedules all sorts of flipped around.

One exciting event of the week: WE WENT TO THE ZOO SATURDAY!  We (we being myself and my 3 roommates: Nicole, Sam and Tricia), dressed as our favorite animals in an abstract way, had some wine and went to the zoo.  I tried to look somewhat like a bear, since that's my favorite animal, but everyone thought I looked like a tree-frog.  No idea how this happened, but I became a hybrid Bear-Frog.  We were definitely the most ridiculous people at the zoo.  We were being so excited and loud and squeal-y while all the small children with their families were somewhat calm and composed.  We also stood out with our outfits, crazy hair and make-up.  (Nicole had a redeye decoration to look like feathers because she was a red bird).  We had beer and hot-dogs for lunch and continued our adventures.  We even went on a carousel ride.  It was quite the outing.  We left and walked to the Hard Rock Cafe (which was nearby) and discovered we were in the Beverly Hills-Rodeo Drive area of Rome.  It was such a gorgeous neighborhood that I will definitely have to explore further. 

I am definitely excited to spend the next few weekends in the city because there is SO much to discover here.  Prepare for some more random adventures!
